A while back we wrote about UYDO (United Youth Development Organization), a youth-led microfinance initiative that spurred from the U8 last year. The website is now being launched and UYDO will launch its first large scale project early next year.
UYDO aims to facilitate for increased employment opportunities for young people in a poverty situation. We primarily do this by raising money to provide a small loan that can allow a person in poverty to start a business and earn a vital income.

UYDO is very much part of the U8 family and we aim to collaborate closely in the future and we hope that the two organisations can together provide a more holistic platform for you to be involved in development issues.
